He loses all the accumulated seniority of the department if he voluntarily moves to a position in another department as a designated employee. If the employee returns to the former department within one (1) year, he/she will retain his/her accumulated seniority in the department to which he/she returns. When an employee accepts an appointment to a permanent position outside the bargaining unit, his or her seniority ceases to accumulate. If such an employee returns to a position within the collective bargaining unit within one (1) year from the date on which he or she left his or her position in the bargaining unit, his or her ministerial seniority is the sum of his or her ministerial rank prior to his or her appointment to a position outside the bargaining unit and his or her ministerial rank from the date of his or her return to a position in the bargaining unit. 8. An employee who is appointed without interruption from designated employee status in one (1) collective bargaining unit represented by the Confederation to designated employee status in another collective bargaining unit represented by the Federation retains his or her system seniority. Subject to the provisions of paragraph 13, no period of service as a daily allowance or as a substitute or long-term trainee (with the exception of an in-house psychologist) may be taken into account in the calculation of the location or seniority of an employee in the school system. The Parties agree that the rates set out in Article XII, Sections H2 and 3, shall be increased in accordance with a general increase contained in the Agreement. 25. The school district shall add a list of health education materials to the regular school requirements form. Each public school receives one hundred ($100) dollars each year so that these supplies can be ordered by the nurse. Any non-public school that has at least one (1) day of nursing service every two weeks will be awarded fty ($50) dollars for this purpose. The manner of implementation of this section has been agreed to by the Federation and the school district and applies to the overall mission of this Agreement, unless it is amended from time to time by mutual agreement between the parties. A joint committee, composed of representatives each appointed by the Superintendent and/or the CHIEF Executive Officer and the Federation, conducts a review of appropriate health education materials to recommend the list of additional documents approved on the educational requirements forms. The school district will notify those who have submitted such a “right of return”, provided that such persons may be assigned to one (1) or more schools to maintain such employee full-time.

An employee who has been forcibly transferred may apply for a right to return to his or her former employment within one (1) year of the effective date of his or her new assignment. The right of return must be resubmitted each year to remain valid. (f) Support agencies for primary schools. (1) A teacher in a reception position at the primary school who wishes to return to a class assignment and who is therefore qualified shall inform the principal in writing no later than March 15 for the following semester. If there is a vacancy and subject to the approval of the principal and teacher, the reorganization for the next semester will include that teacher as a class teacher. (2) If there is no vacancy, the principal may assign one of three (3) teachers to the lowest upper level in the department.
